MOE 4040 Travertine is a beige natural travertine suitable for both interior and exterior flooring and wall cladding. When installed correctly, it is frost-resistant and can be used for patios, terraces, entrances, pool surrounds, indoor floors, and wall surfaces.

Travertine is characterized by its natural colour variation, pores, and cavities. Every tile is unique, creating a natural and varied stone surface. During installation, the cavities are filled with grout, resulting in a durable, easy-to-maintain finish while preserving the stone’s natural appearance.

MOE 4040 Travertine is available in two colour selections:

Classic consists mainly of lighter shades with fewer natural cavities and less colour variation, creating a more uniform appearance.
Mixed includes lighter, yellowish, and darker tones with a greater number of natural cavities and more pronounced colour variation, highlighting the stone’s natural character.

The stone is typically supplied with a honed or tumbled finish, making it suitable for a wide range of residential and commercial applications.

For outdoor installations, travertine should be laid on a permeable base, such as a compacted crushed stone sub-base or VDW 480 permeable bedding mortar. A permeable installation system prevents water from accumulating beneath the stone and ensures reliable long-term performance in freeze-thaw conditions.

MOE 4040 Travertine is available in a wide range of sizes to suit different applications. The most common tile sizes are 300 × 600 mm and 400 × 600 mm, with standard thicknesses of 12 mm and 20 mm. We also manufacture custom-sized travertine tiles to order, including 600 × 600 mm and other project-specific dimensions. For patios and other outdoor paving applications, we recommend a minimum thickness of 40 mm to ensure long-term durability. Our range also includes French Pattern and Roman Pattern sets, which combine tiles of different sizes to create a distinctive paving layout. In addition, we manufacture mesh-mounted travertine mosaics in custom sizes for projects such as bathrooms, wall cladding, swimming pool surrounds, and other bespoke applications.
