For a new residential area in Stockholm, dark slate was selected based on ecological considerations, with an emphasis on sourcing the material as locally as possible. As quarrying of Sweden’s Grythyttan slate has ceased, Sisu Neva from Liuskemestarit now serves as a regional alternative.
