AOS 4080 Dark Granite, also known as Ylämaa Green Granite, is a greenish dark, coarse-grained granite that provides a strong and timeless appearance for demanding outdoor environments. The colour of the stone varies depending on the surface finish. When polished, honed or water-washed, the surface appears deep and elegant, while flamed or bush-hammered finishes create a lighter and more vibrant tone. When wet, the stone always appears darker, highlighting its natural depth and subtle greenish character.

This Ylämaa Green Granite is well suited for outdoor use in projects where high wear resistance, a safe walking surface and a long-lasting solution are required. AOS 4080 is a well-known and highly valued choice in Finnish stone construction and infrastructure projects.

Typical applications include:

  • cobblestones and street paving

  • patio slabs and walkways

  • stairs and step elements

  • entrance areas

  • façade and plinth cladding

  • squares and other public outdoor spaces

Flamed and bush-hammered finishes provide a rough, slip-resistant surface that improves safety and makes the stone suitable for the demanding weather conditions of the Nordic climate. AOS 4080 / Ylämaa Green offers excellent resistance to frost, moisture, de-icing salts and mechanical stress, making it suitable for year-round use even in heavily trafficked infrastructure environments.
