AOS 4082 Ylämaa Brown Granite is a high-quality, coarse-grained brown granite that represents Finnish natural stone at its best. The colour of the stone varies depending on the surface finish. When polished, honed or water-washed, the stone displays a deep dark brown tone with an elegant appearance. When flamed or bush-hammered, the surface becomes lighter and more vibrant. When wet, the stone always appears darker brown, enhancing the surface with a strong and natural character.

This brown granite is well suited for outdoor use in projects where durability, timelessness and a natural colour palette are essential. Ylämaa Brown Granite is a traditional and highly valued choice for both public and private environments.

Typical applications include:

  • cobblestones and street paving

  • patio slabs and walkways

  • stairs and step elements

  • façade and plinth cladding

  • squares, plazas and other public outdoor spaces

AOS 4082 is designed to withstand the demanding weather conditions of the Nordic climate. Its dense structure and high mechanical strength make it an excellent choice for applications where surfaces are exposed to frost, moisture and heavy wear. Flamed and bush-hammered finishes also provide good slip resistance and safety in outdoor areas.
